Psychiatric Provider

Stephanie Schabel

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Oregon and Washington. I received my master’s degree from Gonzaga University with ongoing certification in Functional and Integrative Psychiatry. I specialize in treating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, and stress-related burnout by addressing the root causes that influence mental wellness.

My approach integrates evidence-based psychiatric care with functional medicine principles, including lifestyle assessment, nutrition, sleep optimization, gut brain health, hormonal balance, and targeted supplementation when appropriate. I believe mental health symptoms are deeply connected to the body’s systems, environment, and lived experiences.

My goal is to empower patients with education and tools that support sustainable mental wellness, improved quality of life, and whole-person healing. I am committed to compassionate, trauma-informed care and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.

Outside of practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and traveling. As someone who grew up in South Korea, I have a deep appreciation for languages and cultural diversity, which has also been shaped by my experiences traveling throughout Europe, Morocco, Asia, and New Zealand. These experiences inform my culturally responsive approach to care. I am also able to provide care in Korean when needed.
